This is the Wiki (external link) created by the Information Systems Department at Hartland Consolidated Schools (external link).

Update

As you may notice the wiki software has been updated and with that comes a new look. Actually I'm currently testing different templates and the site's "look" may very well change in the future.

Rest assured that all the same, great information is still there though. It just looks different.

The initial idea behind this project is to provide a site that contains useful links and information for the staff and students of Hartland Schools. With the almost infinite amount of data available to users searching the internet, this site aims to be a focused repository of data more closely related to local issues, policies, and procedures. Users can think of this site as a subset of data gathered from the interwebs that may be more pertinent and applicable to Hartland Schools. As an example you could find items here related to the installation of software owned by the district, or instructions on how to configure Outlook (external link) or other email clients to access district email servers, or reference material for phones and voicemail.

But the content here is not limited to only things related to, or created by, Information Systems. All departments are encouraged to investigate the site and its content. To request an account please click on the link below to email the Network Administrator. One stop shopping for information is the name of the game.

The site also aims to be easy for users to enter, change and manipulate content. The wiki software chosen, TikiWiki (external link), offers a wide range of features and an extensive list of security controls making it both user friendly and secure. Below is a few links I've left from the initial installation that may help new users.

Questions, comments, and concerns should be emailed to Network Administrator.
